Course SyllabusGeneral InformationAdvanced Placement Computer Science Principles (APCSP) is an introductory course for students who are interested in computer science. Students will study programming and how the internet works. They will also create apps for Android mobile devices.
About Mr. WeikertMr. Weikert has been teaching computer software applications and computer repair at Northeastern High School since 2002. Coursework taught has included Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash Pro, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Audition. Current courses taught are CompTIA A+ Computer Repair Certification, Multimedia (animation, audio, and video production), AP Computer Science Principles, and News Media Production. He is the adviser of the school tech crew, and served as the web master for Northeastern School District for five years. Mr. Weikert is the director and founder of the Tech Camp Summer Day Camp program.

Course MaterialsThis course is supported by the Mobile Computer Science Principles Project (Mobile CSP), an NSF-funded effort to provide a broad and rigorous introduction to computer science based on App Inventor, a mobile programming language for Android devices. The course is based on the College Board's emerging Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science Principles curriculum framework for introductory computer science.
